In 2008, Touraid organised for deprived children from around the world to compete in a rugby tournament in the UK.

Teams from all corners of the world came and stayed with host families.

Ten Boys from Ghana were selected due their academic achievement and commitment. They stayed with children from Danes Hill school.

In Ghana, State funded education stops at 13. We (the host families) were distressed to learn that at the age of 13, without outside assistance, their education would end.

Our objective is to provide funding to enable these talented and capable children to attend Senior School from the age of 13.

We ask you to help us support and fund the education for these children. We need to provide school lunches, books, uniforms and schools fees. It will only cost £800 per child per year to give each child an education that will, in the future potentially provide a livelihood for a whole extended family.
